About Food Grade Strut®:
Food Grade Strut® is installed vertically or horizontally to mount piping, conduit or tubing to walls, ceilings, or to other equipment in a sanitary easy-to-clean fashion. Made of stainless steel and easy to keep clean, designed for use inside food processing and pharmaceutical facilities.
Types:
Food Grade Strut® is available in two
types: Wall Mount Strut® (used vertically or horizontally to mount items to walls) and Trapeze Mount Strut® (hangs from ceiling for mounting horizontal piping), plus a variety of accessories to help tailor any installation to your custom needs.
Why it's better:
Old-fashioned mounting strut-types don't belong in food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities as they harbor filth, trap dirt and grime, and the C-shaped channels are hard to clean.

Which type of strut do you want in your facility?
Food Grade Strut® is stainless steel, angled downward, with clean open channels, free of closed or pinched areas where food, dust, grease, or other particles can hide and grow bacteria.
Who is using Food Grade Strut®:
Many food processing companies allow only one brand of strut in their facility: Food Grade Strut®. These companies prohibit the use of all other brands of strut in their facility. And, amazingly enough, they are also receiving better A.I.B. scores!! Be sure to check our Application Gallery to see how sanitary and clean applications are with Food Grade Strut®.
Heavy-Duty:
All Wall Mount Strut® and Trapeze Mount Strut® is made of heavy-duty 12 ga. 304/316 stainless steel for sanitary applications.
Sizes available:
Wall Mount Strut® and Trapeze Mount Strut® are available in five popular pre-cut, de-burred lengths of 12", 24", 48", 96" and 120".
How to mount piping, tubing and conduit:
A series of special food-grade stainless steel U-bolts are used in conjunction with Wall Mount Strut® or Trapeze Mount Strut® for sanitary mounting of piping, conduit, and tubing to walls, ceilings, and other equipment.
About the U-Bolt Mounting System:
Food Grade Strut® U-bolts are made of sanitary stainless steel and have shorter, rolled threads to ease assembly and minimize exposed thread. See Fig. 1 for a simple U-bolt selection guide.

Using the U-Bolt Selection Chart:
Look for the type of piping, tubing, or conduit that will be mounted (Choices are located across the top of the chart). Along the left side, find the trade size you will be using of that product. The UB-(#) where the column and row meet is the U-bolt size you will want to order for that type of pipe, conduit, or tubing.
As an example, if you were mounting 3/4" Rigid Conduit to a wall or ceiling, you would look for the "Rigid Conduit" column across the top of the chart. Then, along the left side of the chart, you would look for the row for "3/4 inch." Follow the "Rigid Conduit" column down to where it intersects the row for the trade size of 3/4". The U-Bolt size you will need to mount 3/4" Rigid Conduit to Food Grade Strut® is shown at the intersection of the column and the row, in this case the U-bolt size required is UB-40. You may also click (with the left button on your mouse) on the U-Bolt Selection Chart to obtain a large, printable version of the chart.
All U-bolts come standard with stainless steel nuts and washers, and food grade anti-seize.
U-Bolt sizes from UB-10 to UB-100 are sold in quanties of 25 per box per size. Sizes UB-110 to UB-170 are sold in quantities of 10 per box per size.
About Wall Mount Strut®:
We recommend two stainless steel Wall Spacers for every piece of Wall Mount Strut 5 ft. in length or shorter. (If you will be using Wall Mount Strut® longer than 5 ft. you must use three Wall Spacers). The wall spacers provide a space between the strut and the wall, eliminating a shelf for particles and filth to grow.
About Trapeze Mount Strut®:
With special stainless steel L-brackets and 1 meter or 2 meter Hanger Rods it's easy to suspend the Trapeze Mount Strut® from ceilings, beams, and overhead equipment. And the smooth Hanger Rods are sanitary, unlike the filth-harboring all-thread that is used with other trapeze-style strut systems.
